COME CELEBRATE THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF ROGUE ONE!
A Star Wars story unlike any before it touches down at MVFF a decade after its release! Director Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One blends the spectacle of George Lucas’ classic with the grit of a wartime adventure. Taking viewers back to just before the original 1977 Star Wars (a.k.a. Episode IV – A New Hope), it reveals the hidden story of the Rebel spies who stole the plans to the Galactic Empire’s dreaded Death Star. Garnering two Academy Award® nominations and earning more than $1 billion worldwide, Rogue One introduces new heroes led by Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso and Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor (whose story continued in the acclaimed Disney+ series Andor). Connecting directly to the movie that started it all, the film culminates in one of the most exhilarating finales in the saga. Also starring Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen, and Forest Whitaker, Rogue One remains a stirring story of sacrifice, rebellion, and hope—and a singular chapter in the Star Wars universe. —Zaki Hasan
